Subject: It's Not God Who Puts that Fear in You

Don't be afraid to face the truth about yourself.

God is not the one who puts that fear in you.  That is our common enemy doing that - the big deceiver.

Facing the truth about yourself brings only freedom to your life because once you face the truth about yourself, you at that very exact moment are opening yourself to God's unbounding kindness toward you....just as you stand.

That is the Good News: God doesn't hold your sins against you!

But to confront the truth and then to slay your giants is something you must do for you to be well.  But it also is that very something you don't want to do.  You resist doing this with everything in you.  It is that thing so much about you, that to confront it, is tailor-made for you to fail to deal with it.  But the whole question of your heroism and courage, and of your success, is confront it with total honesty. 

I now ask you, do you have the energy to sustain guaranteed attacks from our common enemy?  You'll need the power of the Holy Spirit and total inner conviction to sustain the relentless attacks on you.  But keep in mind that the more you run from it, the more you'll run into it.

Come into freedom.  Be no longer afraid to face the truth about yourself.
